Learn about and deepen your relationship with this incredible (yet often demonized) common plant!

We will deep dive into everything pokeweed! We’ll discuss the controversy around this plant (ecologically important or invasive?!), as well as their various uses for (and dangers to) humans. We’ll talk history, ecology, botany, politics – all around this one guy! Students will learn how to work with pokeweed as a natural dye and will have the opportunity to dye a bandana to take home.

Street parking only, so plan to arrive early to find a spot.
